Now I’m waiting at the Phnom Penh International airport  for my flight to Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia). I’m sitting in a clean, bright and surreal place compared to the rest of Cambodia. Nothing remembers me to the world outside, it’s so different. There is n dust and none who asks you for a TukTuk-ride or a massage. I’ll definitely miss this country, even if it’s poor and dirty. I thought I could write some postcards here in the airport, to people I always keep in my minds. They have pocards but no stamps. 🙂 I just say welcome in Cambodia. Hehe. Well I made myself some rules here, to make life easier. In fact it consists only of one rule:

  1. Expect nothing!

Don’t walk thru the streets thinking you want to eat exactly that meal which is in your mind. Don’t try to find what you’re looking for. Just take what’s there. Don’t expect too much and you’re not disappointed. If the places doesn’t look like ty’re described in LonlyPlanet or any other travel book, take it easy and smile.

After Siem Reap I went to Kampot after another awful bus trip. I booked a night bus from Siem Reap for 16$. There were 2 one who leaves at 7pm and one at 8pm I tooked the one at 7pm expecting to arrive one hour earlier, by the way that was before I made myself rule number one. I arrived around midnight in Phnom Penh to change the bus which left Siem Reap at 8pm how funny ;-). The I thought the bus will stop in Kampot but that was wrong too.The bus stopped at Snook at 6am then I hade to wait with some other people till 9am to take a mini-bus to Kampot, finally I was there. 16 hours instead of 11. Doesn’t matter because I could relax at Bodhi villa which is a visit worth if you’re in Kampot. Afterwards I spent a night in Kep and tow in Snook and there it just rained all day long. Hope they’ve better weather meanwhile. If you’re in Snook go to Otres beach, there are nearly no people and you’ve a white sand beach just for you. It’s not so crowded and there is less garbage then at other beaches. The Gulf of Thailand is perfect for swimming even warmer then the air if it’s raining.

So I’ve to go now, take my plane!

I’ll post more pictures later…
